We should make 'going to college' be more like hiring a contractor

In the article "We should make 'going to college' be more like hiring a contractor" (November 6, 2015) in La Times by Stuart M. Butler, she claims that college should be more affordable and made more accessible for low income students. Butler claims that going to college should be more like employing a contractor because in that sense more students with low income could accomplish there educational goal that was put to a limit because of the lack of money. Suggestion have been made to have an overlap between college and high school where students would have a bigger opportunity such as being open to classes that were only limited to college students. These suggestions were made because specialist think that it will cut down the years that a student has to spend over view there major when they could just get straight to it once they get out of high school.  Butlers idea came upon because of the recent program that Obama's administration wants to pass that the first four years of college will be available to students for free, yet that is to be determined over time.

"Sexual Harassment: Another Roadblock for Women in Science"

In the article "Sexual Harassment: Another Roadblock for Women in Science" (Oct 22,2015) in La Times by Laura Lopez ,she claims that women that work in the science field are more likely to be sexually harassed. Her claim came upon the recent investigation in UC Berkeley where a former astronomy professor Geoff Marcy was found guilty of sexual harassment to a female student in the years 2001 to 2010. Through out Lopez's investigation she found that there is many cases like the one in UC Berkeley, but yet they are not always publicly announced because women are scared of losing the positions in there career or school. Many women put up with the harassment because they are scared that if they stand up for themselves they wouldn't make a strong argument and no one would support them. Therefor not only is there still a large percentage of women that put up with the harassment but that large percentage are mainly in the science industry.

" Trump Outlines Immigration Specifics"

      In the article " Trump Outlines Immigration Specifics"( August 17, 2015) in CNN politics they talk about the unrealistic way in which he plans on taking out immigrants from U.S land. Trump is planning on forcing Mexico to pay for a wall that he plans on putting between the US and Mexico. Trump also wants to get rid of the law that grants American Citizenship  to any child born in the United States, mainly focusing on taking away citizenship  from those that have immigrate descends. Trump also looks toward to suspending any release of green cards which helps him get rid of the people coming to the U.S for new job opportunity. Overall, Trumps ideology comes off as racist and unrealistic.

Supermoon Lunar Eclipse

In the article Supermoon Lunar Eclipse: When to Catch it Tonight by Alyssa Newcomb (Sept 27,2015) found on abcnews, she announces that there will be a lunar eclipse the night of September 27 something that does not happen often. In fact the lunar eclipse happens every 18 years and the next one is set to happen in the year of 2033. This lunar eclipse is very interesting because it is the point in which the moon is most close the elliptical orbit of the earth making it cast of a blood red color. This years is expected to happen at a reasonable time the United States because these eclipse's usually happen in broad midnight where as this year it will happen around 8-9 pm. This type of event is not to be missed, hopefully everyone gets to experience this tonight.
